Captain America Card

Image
This is my version of Captain America, cased from Allison Ohran at http://alliohran.blogspot.com/   I added dimentionals to the shield and star and used brillant blue for the blue paper.  Thank you so much for the idea Allison! My daughter has a birthday party saturday for a little boy turning 7 in her class and the present is a captain america guy, I figured if my son likes it this kid will too.  The matching card to present is cute and the theme of the party is wrestling and I couldn't think of anything:)

Craft Fair Nov. 10, 2012

Image
We did a craft fair at Community UMC on November 10th.  It was a pretty good turn out.  Hopefully the next one is even better.  Every time we do one we are learning.  We have lots of different items as you can see from the pictures but not a lot of space so organizing and displaying is our biggest issue.  We sold out of the santa mentos and the cricut boxes that we repurposed in to gift boxes.  The post it note with the little pens went fairly well. This was when you walk into the room, HI MOM!      Clayton's tumbled stone business is doing well on key chains, we need to make more.    My wreaths that I make out of Lollies, it takes a lot but they are really pretty.  I am adding MIZZOU and more christmas and non traditional colors. Dog Treats were well liked and the boxes in the far right sold out. The boxes I made for the little tissues were liked.  Great stocking Stuffers!   ...

Christmas is right around the corner, so we will be making christmas cards on Nov. 17th to get ready.  Do you have your cards done? Candles

Image
Hello and Welcome to my update on the Craft Fair for Nov. 10th.  This is the last item my mom and I made for the fair.  I love a bargain and I happen to stop at Michael's Monday, all their fall/halloween stuff was 80% off so I picked up these candles for 20 cents and we add the flower on top and the ribbon.  We used a tim holtz die and stampin up ribbon.  We did ink the flower petals, molded them and added dimentials to each level plus the ribbon.  I think they look great!  Any questions you can always email me .   Orange colors in this tin with an orange flower Purple flower with a purple tine The pearl on top is the last touch. cream ribbon was used. white ribbon was used

Santa Candy

Image
I am making a bunch of these santa mento candy for the craft show this weekend.  They don't take too long and are cute.  The supplies I used with the owl punch to get the buttons. The slot punch is used twice on the gold paper to do the buckle.  White gel pen to get the button holes.  So first, I wrap the mentos with red paper (5 1/2 X 3 1/2) then I torn white paper (5 1/2 long) for the fur trim.  I cut the belt out of black paper 1/4 inch and then I cut gold paper just a bit larger than the belt and punch two slot holes in it for the buckle look.  I used the owl punch to get the buttons.  (It was the largest circle on the owl punch)  I think I will add a white pom-pom to the top if I find any.

Turkey Treat Topper

Image
Getting ready for our Fall Craft Fair and Turkey Time.  I just love these guys.  Imagine on the table for Thanksgiving with matching napkin rings and place cards.  Too Cute!  The turkey idea was from another stampin' up! demonstrator Heidi Boos using the Stampin' Up! Owl Punch to make Turkey Treat Bag.  Top Note die is used for the topper and 5 petal flower.  I used stampin  up! products though some may be retired.  Enjoy looking.

Getting Ready for the Craft Fair this Saturday with Reindeer Gift Card Holder

Image
Okay, the craft show is this coming Saturday at Community United Methodist Church from 8-2 on Saturday Nov. 10, 2012 in Columbia Missouri.  They have been doing this craft fair for several years and they have rented all the booths out so we are sure hoping for a good turn out.  I have been casing the internet and found some real cute ideas on Kerry's paper Crafts   She has been doing craft fairs for several years so I figure to look at the pros to get ideas.   The reindeer is from brandyscards.com but there are a lot of similar ideas out there.  The reindeer is a gift card holder using the top note die with the big shot. (The big shot is my favorite tool).  I used an oval punch for the face, sponged with close to cocoa and the boho blossom punch for hair, a sizzlet holly branch for antlers and the owl punch for nose and eyes.  The white is used with a gel pen.  I think I like the one on the left better but let me know what you think. ...

Autumn/ Thanksgiving Cards

Image
colored with bic markers for the copic look top note die used on scarecrow.  Autumn/ Thanksgiving Cards I made these cards up this week for Autumn time and getting ready for Thanksgiving.  Hopefully I get them in the mail before people see them on the blog:)  I have been on a more mustard kick lately.  I used it in lots of halloween cards and it just seems like a perfect fall color.  I don't use it so much other times of the year.  I plan on posting a video on how to make the lollie wreath that I sell at craft shows.  Stay tuned.  posted on Nov. 2 by Brooke
